Park at the new Angora Road trailhead. Below is a picture of the new parking area from the trail.
Head up the red trail going through this S curve (viewed from the top of the curve).
Pass a low rock wall on the left side of the trail.
Choose the right side trail when you come to this double red blazed tree on the left.
You are now approaching the T intersection at the end of this trail.
If you go to the right, you will see the pond below. There is also an orienteering marker in this area.
However, you really want to go to the left. The trail is marked with this metal pole above. Walk through the pine forest till you see this stripped tree strump.
Notice the two trees to the right of the tree in the picture above. When you stand in front of the tree and face the rock wall the three trees line up in a diagonal row. Go to the second tree from the stripped tree. Look at the left rear side of the base of this tree.
